Get to Know Dr. Lori Hutto
Lori Hutto is a Professor of Education and the Chair of the Education Department at Warner. She has been teaching at Warner since 2006 but joined the faculty full-time in 2010. She has a bachelor’s in Exceptional Student Education and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Warner University and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Special Education Curriculum from Northcentral University. Lori has achieved National Board Certified Teacher status in Early to Middle Childhood Literacy: Reading and Language Arts. In 2024 she was the faculty-chosen faculty member of the year. She is a member of Lake Wales Charter Board of Trustees and the president-elect of Florida Association of Colleges of Teacher Education.
Lori was born and raised in Lake Wales. Her paternal grandmother is a Hatfield. Her maternal grandfather played for the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1902, having been recruited by Hall of Famer Honus Wagner. Her favorite Bible verse is Isaiah 41:13: “For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”
